Music Tectonics

Jun 25, 2019

Multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Imogen Heap imagined controlling effects and loops with just her gestures, not an array of buttons, knobs and pedals. Now the Mi.Mu gloves she dreamed up are a reality, and they’re available to buy. Mi.Mu Managing Director Adam Stark chatted with host Dmitri Vietze at Midem about taking the idea from an art project to a business while staying focused on artistic expression. Find out some of the amazing things artists are doing with their new-found freedom, and the challenges that Mi.Mu has overcome bringing this first-of-its-kind product to market. Mi.Mu is a 2019 finalist at Midemlab, the pitch competition that launched SoundCloud, KickStarter, Soundcharts, The Echo Nest, and more. Listen to all our #MidemTectonics episodes and  get to know this year’s music tech startups before they break out!
